What this site is
VSLBench reviews and ranks VSL players, video hosting and conversion analytics for people who buy paid traffic and send it to a video sales letter. It exists because the usual "best video hosting" lists answer the wrong question. They rank on picture quality and storage and hand the top spot to Vimeo or Wistia for everyone. For a paid-traffic VSL, that is the wrong test: the tool has to score a split test on sales and fire a watch-depth pixel back to your ad account, and most hosts cannot.
So every tool here is judged through one lens: does it get more people past the pitch, and can you prove which traffic buys? Picture quality and storage are table stakes, not the ranking.
Who it is for
The reader is a direct-response marketer, a media buyer or a solo operator running cold traffic to an offer. The question is never "where do I put the video". It is "which player moves the most sales, and what does it really cost to run once bandwidth is counted". If you are building a portfolio or a course library, some of what we rank still helps, but the whole site is tilted toward the sales case.
How we judge
We do not run these tools on live paid campaigns, and we do not pretend to. We read each vendor's own documentation and pricing pages for what a tool is, does and costs, and long-term user reports on Reddit, G2 and Trustpilot for how it holds up once real money is behind it. We verify prices with the vendor and stamp them with the date we checked.
The output is an ordinal ranking, not a star score. A number invites you to argue with the decimal instead of the decision, and it hides the one thing that matters: what a tool is bad at. So every ranking names the tool it is wrong for. Read the full method behind our rankings.
