Every review VSLBench publishes is signed, because a ranking is only as trustworthy as the person willing to put a name to it. Here is who Marcus Vale is, what they cover, and the pages that carry this byline.

About

Marcus Vale

Lead reviewer

Marcus Vale runs the VSLBench review desk. He has spent years buying paid traffic to video sales letters, and he now reads the player docs, pricing pages and long-term user reports to work out which tools actually move sales instead of just counting views. He writes the player and attribution reviews here, and he is the reason every ranking has to name the tool it is wrong for.

What Marcus Vale covers

The beats behind this byline. Every ranking judges a tool against these, and against the one test the whole site runs on: does the video move sales?

  • VSL players
  • paid-traffic attribution
  • split testing
  • watch-depth pixels
  • retention analytics

How the calls get made

VSLBench does not run these tools on live paid campaigns and does not pretend to. The work is reading: each vendor's own documentation and pricing pages for what a tool is and costs, and long-term user reports on Reddit, G2 and Trustpilot for how it holds up once real traffic and bandwidth are behind it. Prices are verified with the vendor and stamped with the date they were checked.

The output is a ranking, not a score. There are no stars to argue with, and every pick names the tool it is wrong for. You can read the full method behind the rankings and the editorial policy this byline holds to.
